Challenge 5: Bluescreen Shot

In this challenge I had to create a 20-30 second video of someone in front of a blue screen. Then I had to capture still images that could be used for the background of the video.

Firstly we set up the blue screen room by unrolling the blue carpet and straightening the blue curtains in the room. We then set up the two big lights with diffusers on to light up the blue screen evenly. Then we used a key light, a back light and a fill light to light the talent. We also used a yellow gel on the back light and diffusers on the key and fill lights. The camera we use was a Sony A7X this is because it allowed us to use a setting called zebra stripes which would show us if the subject has too much hard light on them and we would be able to adjust the lights accordingly. Finally we went out side to take an image in the Headlingley campus acre to use as a background for the video this image can be seen below.
